The public is becoming increasingly aware of the ulterior motives and political maneuverings surrounding the FDA, FTC, AMA and many other organizations supposedly formed in the public interest.  Doctors have been unjustly censored and striped of their hospital privileges for merely being honest with their patients about nutrition and supplements that may help restore health.  This has resulted in a combative relationship between allopathic doctors and naturopathic doctors.

Patients are acutely aware that knowledge is key in today’s healthcare environment. They believe that most doctors cannot discuss topics such as nutrition, vitamins, minerals, herbals, good and bad fats, and the impact of genetically modified foods on the human body with any amount of integrity so they turn to the internet to do their own research and seek out "alternative professionals."

The informed patient knows that a basic understanding is critical to knowing what questions to ask, how to ask them, when to follow a doctors advice and when to find another doctor.  But sifting through all the conflicting holistic information can be difficult and dangerous.  So organization have sprung up all over the country to present holistic physicians and practitioners speaking on various topics of interest to the community.

Patients are learning how natural methods are being used daily to reverse chronic disease; to find doctors who are open minded; and meet people who have successfully been avoiding drugs.  They are discovering healthy foods that heal and popular foods that harm.  They are serious about finding easy ways to stay healthy and reverse chronic disease.

If you are a physician who longs to truly help your patients find natural solutions to good health, you may want to attend a local continuing education seminar on holistic modalities.  We are forming these programs now and invite your feedback.  Please tell us what interests you by emailing angel@altmedangel.com and to place yourself on a mailing list for upcoming seminars in the Newark, Delaware area.
