The Delaware Conference

Minutes for the business meeting of 5/20/2004.

We certainly covered a lot of ground during our business meeting and I greatly appreciate the comments I received on the many new avenues under consideration.  Thanks bunches to the 19 people who offered testimonials.  I think they could be a big help to anyone who may be on the fence trying to decide whether to attend.  They will definitely find our attendees to be friendly and gracious.  As soon as I receive the confirmations back, I will post them to the site.

We are planning to return to double sessions on October 29th if we can find tax speakers.  If you have any suggestions for speakers or topics, please let me know.  I hope to find speakers and have a firm idea of topics by mid July.

If you would like to exchange links, please e-mail me your information.  I will be happy to design a links page containing the following information for referrals to Delaware Conference attendees:  Your name or firm name, address, phone, e-mail, link and bio.  My goal is to make this site a valuable tool for all attendees, whether you simply use the current links page as a resource or the referral links page as a marketing tool.  If there is anything else I can do to help you build your business, please let me know.

If you signed up for the Timely Topics program and you would like to receive the Tax & Financial Planning Tables or the Retirement Plan Comparison Chart that have already been mailed, just call my office and Kelly will send one out to you.

We had 11 people indicate a possible interest in attending a Delaware Conference on a cruise ship.  Three people mentioned the Caribbean, one mentioned Hawaii and one Bermuda.  If you would like to add your name to the list, please let me know as I will be pursuing this for some time next year.  It doesn't hurt to mix business with pleasure.

I am still considering having an alternative medicine conference for the general public (not CPE credited) with some of the top alternative doctors on the east coast who can explain some of the more gentle, breakthrough natural therapies that are now replacing radiation, chemotherapy, and heart bypass surgery.  My guess is, our breakeven cost will probably be around $40 per person or maybe just under if we can get the doctors to donate their time and expertise.  It will all depend on how many people we can interest in attending so please spread the word.

If you know anyone who has an interest in alternative medicine, please ask if they would like to receive an invitation and/or have them place themselves on my mailing list by either calling Rebecca Dalby at (302) 738-3304 or e-mailing me at altmedangel@comcast.net or dc4ac@comcast.net.  The altmedangel address is for alternative medicine communication, the dc4ac is for accountant communication but both will get to me.  Or you can simply forward this link or page to them and they can make their own choice.

I will attempt to get a doctor to speak during lunch on an alternative medicine issue for the October 29th Conference.  This will replace the keynote speaker we have had in the past.  If you would like to know more about the IPT treatment we discussed at the Conference, you will find a book review at http://altmedangel.com/library.htm for Treating Cancer with Insulin Potentiation Therapy by Ross Hauser MD and Marion Hauser MS, RD.  You can visit my alternative medicine web site at http://altmedangel.com.  The links page on my site contains a Physicians section where doctors can click to a site where training is available for this life-saving therapy.

Lastly, if you move, or change jobs or e-mail addresses, please put us on your list of people to contact with your new information.

I can't thank you enough for supporting me and The Delaware Conference.  Thank you for attending.  I hope you enjoyed the day.  Perhaps I'll see you at the next Conference on October 29, 2004.  Have a wonderful summer!

Marie McCaffrey

President
